Amidst patches of fog and moments of clarity, the undead roam. Some appear at dusk, some deep in the night, some at dawn. Is this just a bad dream, or is this real?
‘Who are they? What do they want?’, asks the Schattenmuseum (Shadow Museum). ‘What’s wrong with them? Why are they so popular? How can we get rid of them? And what might the world look like after them?’
This interactive performance led by the Schattenmuseum traces historical fascist movements and thematizes their resonances with developments in the present. What fears are young people in particular facing with the rise of right-wing forces? How can these new social realities and concerns be addressed?
The Schattenmuseum—consisting of young people between the ages of 12 and 23, many of them with migration experience—embarks on an artistic journey of discovery, searching for signs of social change.
The Schattenmuseum is a project by sideviews.
