HKW and Elementarteilchen Foundation are awarding the International Literature Prize for the sixteenth time. It honors an outstanding work of international contemporary literature in its initial German translation, and in this alliance awards both the original and the translation. The jury selected six books from the 132 submissions for this year‘s shortlist.

Translators, actors and actresses, as well as HKW staff will read from the six nominated books, both in the original languages and their German translation. The event will be accompanied by music by Turi Leng Seong Agostino. The evening will end with a DJ set by Edna Martinez.
