In this interactive workshop, students take on the role of game developers. Using selected video games, they reflect on social narratives and develop their own ideas for the games of tomorrow. Teams discuss what games can do—and what they should do. The focus is on diversity, inclusion, and storytelling. The results flow into creative portfolios, which are then presented in a simulated talk show. A third team of observers decides who is the most convincing.
The workshop is a playful space for thinking about the future of digital worlds that combines game analysis with discussion and methods of media education. In doing so, gaming becomes a starting point for a reflective examination of social processes, including the critical consideration of right-wing currents in the digital space.
