Jazz, tradition and imagination: the daughter of a Bengali father and a British mother, Zoe Rahman studied classical piano at Oxford and Jazz at Berklee.
Her second album, “Melting Pot” was nominated for The Mercury Prize in 2006. For “Kindred Spirits” (2011) she collaborated with Courtney Pine and for “Unison,” released in 2013, with George Mraz. In 2013 she performed at the HKW with Jerry Dammers’s Spatial A.K.A. Orchestra.
