What is the state of a specifically East German Crip epistemology? This participatory lab—at the intersection of GDR cultural history, Crip theory, and staged readings—explores ideologies of the body in the GDR and examines their lingering effects on contemporary East Germany. The project is based on excerpts from research diaries, workers’ songs, and GDR literature, as well as digressions on the Leipzig School. Together, the participants develop an installation that brings the processes of thought and work to life within the space.
