(H)-KWY ìmò is a site-specific live artwork that sets in motion Leo Asemota’s installation òótó. Emerging from the directions north, east, south, and west, four characters navigate their respective cardinal positions within HKW to a meeting point where they carry out an array of activities including Brazilian capoeira movements among other gestures. The ensuing installation òótó can be seen daily in its totality at 18:00, reoccurring at the exact time in which ìmò was originally presented, its ideas evolving over the course of the exhibition.

Commissioned by Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW), co-produced by Leo Asemota and HKW, 2023.
