“The cure is to become a curer. In being healed he is also becoming a healer (...) in the journey undertaken by the healer and the sick man into an underworld and up into the mountains across the sacred landscape of space and time, it is this option that is being traversed.”
Michael Taussig, Shamanism, Colonialism, and the Wild Man: A Study in Terror and Healing

The subject is outside, it is everywhere. The economics of structured fire and arson are an economic benefit, companies take advantage of the environmental disaster in the Bolivian Amazon. The State is neither guarding nor guard. The lack of resources and the remoteness of these territories aggravate the situation. In the midst of the conflict, a group of inhabitants affected by the fires have formed community radios and appropriated wireless communications to monitor this problem, get informed and build coalitions to spread practical solutions in the fight against these fires and corporations. This live performed listening session on locative awareness between threats and a silenced ongoing environmental crisis explores sounds which elude the necessity to be translated into other not-inherent systems of sense-making.
