From 13 to 15 June, MISS READ returns to Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) with 300 exhibitors from 50 countries. The festival gathers independent publishers, artists, authors, and theorists to celebrate, discuss, and explore contemporary publishing practices.
This year’s focus on Ecological Publishing asks what sustainable publishing looks like in the age of the anthropocene—between low-impact printing, local production, and post-anthropocentric narrative forms.
The three-day public programme includes lectures, panels, performances, and workshops. On Saturday, 14 June, the annual Conceptual Poetics Day explores the imaginary border between visual art and literature.
Founded in 2009, MISS READ is a vital platform for independent, artistic, and critical publishing. Locally rooted and globally connected, the festival is committed to promoting cultures and communities from all over the world.
