Forward Festival, the ultimate gathering spot for creative minds and industry professionals, is set to return to Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin on 28–29 August. Under the renewed vision “Turn ideas into action”, the 2025 Berlin edition will feature an eclectic program with over 50 international creatives from a wide range of fields—including digital art, motion, design, graphic design, photography, marketing, and more. Over the course of two days and across three stages, thought leaders will explore bold ideas, examine emerging trends, and debate the future of creativity.

Turning ideas into action: A program tailored for doers
This year’s program fully embraces Forward’s refined vision by empowering attendees to drive change through creativity. From thought-provoking talks and expert-led workshops on the industry’s most talked-about topics to immersive side events, every session is designed to go beyond inspiration and into action. Attendees can expect deep dives into the creative process and practical tools to help transform their ideas into successful projects.

50+ international top creatives on the future of creativity
Across three stages at HKW Berlin, a stellar lineup of international trailblazers will take the spotlight. Celebrated graphic artist Anthony Burrill will delve into the power of simplicity and impactful design, while Roel Wouters of Random Studio will share their innovative approach to experience design, redefining how audiences engage with interactive environments. Porto Rocha, known for their visionary work in design and creative direction, will discuss the art of crafting meaningful brand stories. Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, represented by creative director Zeynep Orbay, will offer insights into shaping compelling campaigns that connect on a deeper level. Collage artist Alice Isaac will take audiences inside her bold, genre-blurring creative process, where handcrafted imagery meets striking digital effects. Studio Yukiko, who redefined the visual concept of HKW, will show how powerful brand identities can grow from bold ideas. With over 50 speakers, the two-day Festival is packed with inspiring ideas, fresh impulses, and unforgettable moments.

A Festival experience beyond the stage
Complementing the main program is a series of curated side events and special moments beyond the stage. Highlights include an exclusive boat tour on the Spree with Erik Kessels, where the celebrated Dutch creative discusses the art—and business—of staying on top in a fast-paced industry. Or “Pretentious Alcoholic Discussions” with Swedish agency SNASK – a wildly entertaining, unfiltered conversation over drinks about creativity, ambition, and the beautiful chaos in between. These intimate gatherings are designed to spark authentic connections and conversations beyond the conventional conference format, making this year’s Berlin edition the most immersive yet.
