Wendy Chun is a media theorist and Simon Fraser University’s Canada 150 Research Chair, Director of the Digital Democracies Institute, and Professor of Communication. She received a PhD in English Literature at Princeton. Before returning to Canada, she was Chair and Professor of Modern Culture and Media at Brown University for almost two decades. Her recent publications include Codes, Races, Climate, Habitudes: Implications Sociales de la Numérisation (2023); and Discriminating Data: Correlation, Neighborhoods, and the New Politics of Recognition (2021). Chun lives and works in Vancouver.
