Tigran Petrosyan
Tigran Petrosyan is a journalist and editor. He studied Asian Studies, Turkish Studies, and History and Cultural Studies in Yerevan, Mainz and Berlin, and completed his PhD in Berlin on integration, migration and media perception. As a reporter, he travels throughout Eastern Europe, reporting from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, the Baltic states and elsewhere. His main areas of focus include human rights, wars and conflicts in the post-Soviet regions, and the role of art as an expression of protest in that region. Petrosyan writes for publications including taz, der Freitag, Der Spiegel and the Amnesty International Journal. He is head of the Eastern Europe projects at the taz panterstiftung and of the taz travel programme Reisen in die Zivilgesellschaft in the South Caucasus and the Baltic states. Petrosyan lives in Berlin.
