Tamsir Ndir is a chef cuisinier with over 25 years of experience, known for a cuisine that places local ingredients at its center. A self-taught cook, he discovered his passion in his grandmother’s kitchen. He studied Human Resource Management at the University of Québec in Montréal. He rose to prominence as head chef at Le Bideew, the restaurant of the Institut Français in Dakar. Under the name TchoubTchoub, he also performs as a DJ, bringing together food and music in cultural settings. He currently works as a culinary coach, committed to sharing knowledge and strengthening culinary practice in the region. Recent projects include the SENEGAL STREET FOOD festival (2022) and ZIK AK LEK, a live format where he has been combining music and cooking since 2014. Ndir lives and works in Abidjan.
