Talin Hajintsi

Talin Hajintsi is a musician and dancer who grew up in Berlin’s diaspora, influenced by the Armenian music of her family. Today, she keeps folk songs alive as a singer, oud player, and occasional davul player. For her, music is lived memory, resistance against oppression, and pure collective joy. She collects forgotten traditional songs and archives them, in order to bring them back into the world. After studying music education, she worked with renowned Armenian musicians such as Lilit Pipoyan, Hasmik Harutyunyan and Aram Nikoghosyan. Today, she passes on her knowledge through singing lessons and workshops. Hajintsi lives in Berlin.
