Serge Avédikian is an actor, director, and producer who has pursued parallel careers in all three fields. He studied theater acting at the Conservatoires de Meudon. As a filmmaker, he has worked in documentary, animation, short films, and feature-length fiction films. Throughout his career, he has produced a wide range of works. For his third animated film, Barking Island he received the Palme d’Or for Best Short Film at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival. He is currently working on his fourth feature film, The Last Round in Istanbul. Avédikian lives and works in Paris.
