Naya de Souza works under alter egos like LUX VENÉREA and @Bundaskanzlerin, moving between performance art, comedy, stand-up and cooking. Since 2016, she has stormed the cultural scene with multimedia cabaret performances and politically charged stand-up sets. Her work has been shown at Gropius Bau, Deichtorhallen Hamburg and WORM in Rotterdam, among others. 2023 she received the TAG DER CLUBKULTUR prize and was a finalist for the Berlin Art Prize in 2022. With a background in gastronomy, she is a classically trained chef de cuisine. She is also recognized for her work as an educator and HIV rights advocate and has been a guest teacher at renowned universities. De Souza is based in Berlin.
