Narges Kalhor
Narges Kalhor is a filmmaker. She studied film directing in Tehran and began studying at the University of Television and Film Munich in 2010. Her work explores themes such as identity, exile, political resistance, innovative storytelling and experimental visualisation. She has gained recognition for films including Sensitive Content (2023) and In the Name of Scheherazade (2019). Her latest film, Shahid, premiered at the 2024 Berlinale and won both the Caligari Film Award and the CICAE Arthouse Cinema Award. With her new project, The Inverted Well, she is part of the International Co-Marketing Programme at the 2025 Berlinale. Kalhor lives in Munich.
