Narges Kalhor is a German-Iranian film-maker whose work moves between fiction and documentary, often blending poetic and political forms of expression. She studied directing at the Tehran Film School and later at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF). Her films — including In the Name of Scheherazade or the First Beergarden in Tehran (2019), Sensitive Content (2023), and Shahid (2024) — have been shown and awarded at major international festivals. Kalhor works in the field of hybrid cinema and also as an editor. Since 2025 she has been a visiting professor for Hybrid Directing at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. Kalhor lives and works in Munich.
