Mohamed Amjahid is a freelance investigative journalist and non-fiction author. He studied political science at the Freie Universität Berlin and Cairo University and conducted research on various anthropological projects in North Africa. After completing his Master’s degree, Amjahid completed a traineeship at the Tagesspiegel in Berlin. He then worked as a political reporter for the weekly newspaper DIE ZEIT and for ZEITmagazin. He reports and writes for DER SPIEGEL, taz, WDR and many others and is a culinary columnist for Monopol magazine, among others. In 2024, his latest book Alles nur Einzelfälle? Das System hinter der Polizeigewalt [All just isolated cases? The system behind police violence] was published in 2024. Amjahid lives and works in Berlin.
