Jimena Puente

Jimena Puente is a white, able-bodied film-maker focused on queer documentary and collective film-making. After working in mainstream film production, they sought alternative approaches and studied cinematography at filmArche, a self-organized Berlin film school. There, they developed a personal, political, and community-rooted film-making style. Puente’s artistic practice explores the emotional, social, and political landscapes of their queer Berlin community, highlighting connection, expression, and desire as powerful tools for both personal and collective liberation.
