D’Andrade (1989, Rio de Janeiro) is a non-binary self-taught A.I. visual artist, musician, and poet, whose conceptual approach is oriented towards trans-Afro-futurism, developing works through sound design, coding, archives, and electronic games, with focus on Black and queer perspectives, the climate crisis, and the impact of technology upon Black thought. They are currently leading the Ultra-Poetry archive project at Akademie der Künste, Berlin and in 2022 developed the digital poem series Heat Island. D’Andrade was awarded a kultur_formen Durchstarten grant in 2020, and in 2022 received a Berliner Projektfonds Kulturelle Bildung grant, and also embarked upon an A.I. anarchies fellowship at Akademie der Künste, Berlin. Andrade’s works have been exhibited at venues including Prater Galerie, Berlin; nGbK, Berlin; KINDL - Zentrum für zeitgenössische Kunst, Berlin; and Iwalewahaus, Bayreuth. They live and work in Berlin.
