This documentary film accompanies three individuals to the frontlines of the modern battle for equal rights: In Brasília, the nation’s sole black senator takes a stand for civil and land rights. In São Paulo, a celebrated pop star founds a new television channel that presents Brazilian society as it is. And somewhere in the remote countryside, the granddaughter of African slaves defends her lawful claim to the land of her ancestors.
