Cultural analyst Kathrin Peters studied communications design at the University of Essen and cultural and art theory at Humboldt University, Berlin, where she also gained her doctorate. She was also a member of the academic staff at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne and at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig. She is currently doing research at the Free University in Berlin. In 2007, she jointly conceived the exhibition and programme of events entitled "’die stadt von morgen’- Beiträge zu einer Archäologie des Hansaviertels Berlin" (The city of tomorrow, - contributions toward an archaeology of the Hansa District, Berlin.) at the Akademie der Künste (Academy of Arts).
