Universal reportage is shaping the present; every experience is immediately recorded and extensively interpreted. At the same time, public discourse is lacking imagination and productive metaphors. But what about literature as an art form – as artistically critical analysis or poetic practice, which recreates the world in language over and over again?
The eleventh Internationaler Literaturpreis will examine this and, with the six shortlisted books and the award-winning duo, sound out the potential of a conversation between literature, the world, and pluralistic readerships.
