This panel brings together visual artist Poppy Nash, art historian Maria Morata, and performance artist Olivia Huynsin Kim, each sharing how they draw from both historical sources and their own lived experience of chronic illness within their field of work. The panel explores how artistic practice can chronicle experiences of sickness in innovative ways that challenge and re-write historically ableist narratives in joyful, sensorial, and humorous ways.

The event is supported by the British Council.
