Do you love books as much as Zuri does? If so, join her and Ndey Bassine Jammeh-Siegel, the author, educator, and founder of Afrokids Germany, for a reading of the adventures that await in The Mosaic Library.
Zuri loves to get lost in stories. She wants to know everything about places far away in time. No wonder the Mosaic Library is one of her favourite places. But an evil force threatens to erase all the stories from all the books. Pixel, the rainbow thread who lives in the library, asks Zuri for help. Only she can stop the spell and keep the stories alive. Will Zuri be up to the task?
Through her words, Ndey Bassine Jammeh-Siegel creates a world of truth and magic around the beauty of stories, which comes alive in colour through the illustrations of Diana Ejaita. Their collaborative effort, The Mosaic Library, for children between the ages of 6 and 11 (and beyond!), shows that books can be a home worth fighting for. Ndey Bassine Jammeh-Siegel presents the newly published book with a reading and tells the story of writing it in dialogue with Cathrin Romeis.
The Mosaic Library is the third volume in the 'haɪ̯maːtn̩ publication series, which understands the German term Heimat (home/homeland) in the plural and as a verb. It is published by Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) in collaboration with Merve Verlag.
