Ymoirá Micall

Ymoirá Micall is a multidisciplinary artist and a Black Brazilian transvestite whose work includes extensive experience and practice in scenic creation spaces and choreographic direction. Her dance work is influenced by reusing techniques from classical ballet, jazz dance, contemporary dance and the insertion of the marginalized body into the scene. She is currently director of Cia Sacana, producing content with young artists. Recent works include UMA, Sesc 24 de Maio, São Paulo, 2024 and Terra Brasilis Top Trans Pindorâmica, Centro Cultural São Paulo, São Paulo, 2023. Micall lives and works in São Paulo.
