Yann-Olivier Kersaint (he/him) is a geographer and also works as an artist under the name yano2d. His work focuses on space and rhythms, time and colors, as well as patterns and identity. He completed his studies at the University of Heidelberg and obtained his PhD from the University of Münster. With a regional focus on the insular Caribbean, his scientific work focuses on the coproduction of space and risk. He is also part of Choublak, a Haitian diaspora collective in Germany. Recent works include the book Canaan – eine ordinary city in der Karibik? (2024) and the Terrazza Tape (2025). Kersaint lives and works in Berlin.
