Widad Nabi
Widad Nabi is an author and poet. Her work has been translated into several languages, including English, French, Italian and Spanish. In Germany, she has published in ZEIT ONLINE, the Berliner Zeitung, DER SPIEGEL (online), der Freitag, various anthologies, and elsewhere. In 2019, Sujet Verlag published her first book in German, Kurz vor dreißig, … küss mich. The same publisher subsequently released Unsichtbare Brüche (2021) and Wurzeln schlagen (2025). Among honours for her literary work she received the 2021 Rheinsberg City Writer’s Fellowship and the 2018 Wiesbaden ‘Weiterschreiben’ Fellowship. In 2025, the Italian edition of her book Ein Kontinent namens Körper was awarded the international Camaiore Prize for translated poetry. Nabi lives in Berlin.
