Vanessa Ramos-Velasquez is media artist and postdisciplinary researcher whose work engages decolonial practices as artivism across installation, videoart, experimental film, and performance-lectures. Her areas of interest are political ecology, cultural history and theory, philosophies of the Amazonian-Andean worlds, and ecocriticism. She is currently finishing her practice-based PhD in Media Art at Bauhaus University Weimar. Recent exhibitions include collective performative actions at the Anthropocene Campus Latin America, Rio de Janeiro, 2024 and an installation at ZNE!, Uferhallen, Berlin, 2023. Ramos-Velasquez is from Rio de Janeiro and lives and works in Berlin.
