Thijs van den Geest

Thijs van den Geest is a trumpet player and composer. He graduated in 2017 at the conservatory of Amsterdam. He is member, co-composer, and co-founder of jazz-poetry collective Klinkende Kosmos, and is currently collaborating with pianist and organ player Máté Lachegyi. He works with theatre maker meLê yamomo on the music theatre pieces Interferences and Overtones, examining what lies beyond musical sounds. Van den Geest lives and works in Amsterdam.
