Sunwoo Hoon

Sunwoo Hoon (1989, Seoul) is a digital artist who employs the grammar of pixel arts and webtoon to document the history of South Korean democracy by juxtaposing pixels in a monitor with individuals in a society. More recently, he explores pixels as an information module shaping human perception of reality. Hoon studied at Seoul National University. Recent exhibitions and projects include Read Game Book, Openspace Bae, Busan, 2024; and Set Up Your Profile, Coreana Museum of Art, Seoul, 2021.Hoon lives and works in Suncheon, South Korea.
