sookee

sookee is a musician, anti-fascist, and mother. She hosts the intergenerational Urania discussion series Abends warm, the activist talk show Bewegungsmelder*in and the concert series Queers In Concert, and writes columns for Veto-Magazin and Kinderstark Magazin. She has been active in the hip-hop scene for over 20 years, officially ending her rap career in March 2020 after six albums, numerous collaborations, and countless performances. In 2021, she published the anthology Awesome HipHop Humans – Queerfeministischer Rap im deutschsprachigen Raum with Kian Köpf. sookee lives and works in Berlin.
