Robert Beckford is an award-winning scholar, activist, broadcaster, author, and music producer whose work explores the intersections of music, faith, culture, and social justice. A pioneering Black theologian and creative practitioner, he has spent more than three decades using music and media to amplify marginalized voices and inspire social transformation. As an author, he has made significant contributions to the study of music and theology, with publications including Decolonizing Contemporary Gospel Music Through Praxis (2023). His documentary and radio work includes Jamaican Bible Remixed (2018), a project that celebrated Jamaican language, culture and biblical storytelling.
