Pınar Öğrenci

Pınar Öğrenci (1973, Wan) is an artist and film-maker. Her films, video works, and installations invite us to witness the multifaceted layers of survival, resistance, and resilience. Öğrenci engages with place, site, and architecture as the materialization of violence. She urges her audience to imagine futures built on justice, equality, and collective healing. By delving into archives, she initiates a process of collaborative memory, engaging communities in questioning what has been remembered, erased, or overlooked. Her works have recently been shown at MK&G Hamburg, 60th Venice Biennale, Harvard Museum, and Frac Bretagne. Öğrenci lives and works in Berlin.
