Oscar Ngu Atanga is a Cameroonian-British artist and researcher working across sound, textile, and spatial composition. Grounded in listening as method, his practice engages land, materials, and oral memory as living archives, examining how unarchived histories persist as material and sonic forces. He is the founder of Taneka Studio, a research and design practice rooted in West and Central Africa. Recent projects include Sonic Commons/Resonant Grounds, Goethe-Institut, Partcours Dakar, 2025. His writing appears in Afrikadaa N°17 (2025). He studied at the University of Oxford. Atanga lives between Benin and Germany, with ongoing projects in Senegal.
