Nora Benamara is a singer, composer, and improviser whose work ranges from jazz to transcultural and experimental music. She studied jazz and improvised singing at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar and released her debut album Amnesia on Double Moon Records in 2024. She performs with her quartet as well as in duo projects, including with Aeham Ahmad, and is active as an improviser in the Leipzig independent scene. Her other work includes the Sternenstaub project by the Resident Music Collective at the Humboldt Forum Berlin and the ensemble Gellért Szabó’s Ideal Orchestra. Benamara lives and works in Leipzig.
