Mieko Suzuki works as a DJ, sound artist, musician and composer. Her practice moves between underground club culture and established cultural institutions. She treats sound as an active force shaping perception, atmosphere, and embodied experience. Her work unfolds through precise, physical sonic material language that transforms collective attention. Suzuki is part of the trio Contagious and co-creator of Broken Vinyl. Since 2009, she has co-hosted KOOKOO at OHM in Berlin. Recent composition include: Matsukaze, Bayerische Staatsoper, 2025; and Dantons Tod, Burgtheater, 2023. Recent release include: Ödipus, Herrscher (2023); and CONTAGIOUS (2019). Suzuki lives in Berlin.
