Mark Nowakowski is many things: an engineer, climate activist, coach, lecturer, dancer, musician and ethnomusicologist. In the latter capacity, he wrote the book Straßenmusik in Berlin (2016) from his fascination with and enthusiasm for this rich culture right on our doorstep. He also wrote it because no one else yet had. It contains more than one hundred portraits of musicians, which emerged from the many exciting conversations he had while during his field research. Nowakowski lives in Berlin.
