Mario Pfeifer is an artist and filmmaker. Pfeifer’s artistic work examines how events are represented, mediated, or obscured, and how narratives of power, racism, justice, faith, and history unfold within different societies. He studied at California Institute of the Arts, Santa Clarita; Hochschule für Bildende Künste–Städelschule, Frankfurt/Main; Berlin University of the Arts; and Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig. Selected exhibitions include: Shifting Terrains, Kunstquartier Bethanien, Berlin, 2025; and Für alle! Demokratie Neu gestalten, Bundeskunsthalle, Bonn, 2024. Bilder als Zeugen (2025) was recently published. Pfeifer lives and works in Berlin.
