manuel arturo abreu is a non-disciplinary artist, working with ritual aspects of aesthetics across moving image, language, performance, sound, research, and social study. Recent exhibitions include Tufts University Art Galleries, Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, Konrad Fischer Galerie Düsseldorf, and Portland Art Museum. Since 2020, abreu has taught independent online courses in art, philosophy, and critical technology studies. With Victoria Anne Reis, they co-founded home school, a free pop-up art school. abreu is the author of several poetry collections and a book of critical prose and is based in Portland, Oregon.
