Leda Maria Martins
Leda Maria Martins is a poet, dramaturge, essayist, and scholar. She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), where she has also taught. Martins’ research focuses on theatre, performance, comparative literature, and cultural studies. Her books include Performances do tempo espiralar (2021), Os dias anônimos (1999) and Afrografias da memória (1997). In 2022, she received the Milu Villela Prize from the Fundação Itaú Cultural. Martins lives and works in Belo Horizonte.
