L’Antoinette Stines

L’Antoinette Stines is a dancer, choreographer, actress, teacher, author, and visionary. Her work is impacted by Caribbean dance largely due to her varied education and performing history, which ranges from classical ballet to Yoruba Orisha dance. She has a PhD from the University of the West Indies, Mona. Stines is the creator of the only Anglo-Caribbean Carimod Contemporary Caribbean Dance Technique, L’Antech and the founder and Artistic Director of L'Acadco–A United Caribbean Dance Force. Recent performances include L’acadco: Building Bridges Through the Arts, John Jay College, New York, 2024. Stines lives and works in Kingston, Jamaica.
