Kwasi Konadu is a healer, publisher, and John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Endowed Chair and Professor at Colgate University. He teaches African history and African diasporic histories and culture. He is the author of: Many Black Women of this Fortress (2022); Africa’s Gold Coast through Portuguese Sources; 1471-1671 (2022); and Our Own Way in This Part of the World: Biography of an African Community, Culture, and Nation (2016). Konadu lives and works in New York.
