Ken Bugul
Ken Bugul (civil name is Mariétou Mbaye) is a Senegalese writer. She made her literary debut in 1982 with her fictionalized autobiography Le Baobab Fou. A former international civil servant specializing in family planning and social development, she has lived and travelled in several countries in Africa and around the world. To date, Ken Bugul has written eleven novels, some of which have been translated into several languages. Her most recent work is the novel Le Trio Bleu (2022). Bugul lives and works in Senegal.
