Kalaf Epalanga
Kalaf Epalanga is a writer and musician. He co-founded the Kizomba Design Museum and the record label Enchufada and is a member of Buraka Som Sistema. He has written columns for the Portuguese newspaper O Público, GQ Magazine (Portugal), REDE Angola and the Brazilian literary magazine Quatro Cinco Um. He published collections of literary chronicles in Portugal, Brazil and Angola. Epalanga co-curated the 2023 Africa Writes Book Festival in London and curated the 2021 Berlin African Book Festival. Whites Can Dance Too (2023) is his debut novel, translated into English by Daniel Hahn and published by Faber. Epalanga lives and works in Berlin.
