Jyn

Jyn is a freelance photojournalist, editor, and cultural organizer. Their journalistic work has focused on current issues, socio-cultural and armed conflicts. As a photo editor they worked for the Bundeswehr in the past and now for the WDR and occasionally the taz. Academically they focus on the role of propaganda and the authenticity of war photography as an integral basis for the self-understanding of the photojournalistic field. Their practice predominately roots in administration of self-organized space for the digital civil society, providing empowerment through awareness including hands-on harm reduction and podcasting. Jyn lives and works in Berlin.
