Juan-Pedro Fabra Guemberena (they/them) has divided his life between Montevideo, where he was born and partially raised, and Stockholm, where he arrived with his family as a refugee in the late 70s.This experience, the commuting from different centers to different peripheries has been decisive for his practise. Fabra Guemberena studied at The Royal Institute of Art (MFA) in Stockholm 2002. Selected exhibitions are: In the Inner Bark of Trees, Archive Berlin, 2023; and University Of Disaster, 57th Venice Biennale, 2017. Fabra Guemberena is currently working between Stockholm, Berlin and Montevideo.
