Josèfa Ntjam
Josèfa Ntjam is an artist, performer and writer whose practice combines sculpture, photomontage, film and sound. She uses assemblage as a method to deconstruct the grand narratives underlying hegemonic discourses on origin, identity and race. She graduated from the École nationale supérieure d’art de Bourges and the Paris Cergy National Graduate School of Art. Recent exhibitions include: INTRICATIONS, Institut d’art contemporain, Villeurbanne, 2025; and swell of spæc(i)es, Venice Biennale, 2024. She participated in the 36th São Paulo Art Biennial, 2025; as well as MOMENTA Biennale d'art contemporain, Montreal, 2025. Ntjam currently lives and works in Saint-Étienne, France.
