Ivana Sajko is a theatre author, writer, and performer interested in interdisciplinary approaches to creative procedures, intersections between language and music, as well as different anomalies and escape routes from rigid structures. Her work deals with political and social issues, feminism and ecology. Recently published books in German include Jeder Aufbruch ist ein kleiner Tod (2022) and Das Lied der Stadt (nicht für dich) (2023), while her last theatre text #jeanne premiered at Dramaten, Stockholm (2023).  For her novel Liebesroman (translated from Croatian by Alida Bremer, 2018) she was awarded the 2018 Internationaler Literaturpreis at HKW. Sajko lives and works in Berlin.
