Hui Ye
Hui Ye is an artist and composer. She works with various media, including experimental documentary, video and audio installation, often addressing the socio-political dimensions of listening and the evolving nature of individual social identity, as reflected through technology and sonic culture. Hui Ye is laureate of the Kunsthalle Wien Prize 2018 and a co-founder of the queer-feminist Asian artist collective Mai Ling. Her works have recently been presented at Kunsthalle Wien, the Jim Thompson Art Center in Bangkok, and WRO Media Art Biennial in Wrocław, among others. Hui Ye lives and works in Vienna.
