Heidi Süß

Heidi Süß is a researcher, consultant, and expert on German-language rap. She holds a professorship in social work at the University of Applied Sciences in Braunschweig. Previously, she was a research assistant at the University of Trier and Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences, where she wrote her doctoral thesis on masculinity in rap. Her research focuses on rap, gender relations, and social inequality. Her most recent publications include Einsam, traurig, überfordert. Rap-Männlichkeiten zwischen gewaltigen Emotionen und gewaltvollen Männlichkeitsskripten (2024). Süß lives and works in Berlin.
